Interactive fun includes sports-injury prevention “tea time” with orthopedic specialists, mini-putt maze for the whole family

Jacksonville, FL (March 10, 2022) – For the third consecutive year, Nemours Children’s Health will promote health for children and teens through its sponsorship of the Kids Zone at THE PLAYERS Championship 2022. This youth-focused space will offer engaging activities designed to give young attendees and their families an interactive experience, including:

  • Sports injury prevention demonstrations with Nemours Children’s orthopedic and sports medicine specialists on Saturday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • A mini-putt maze for children and teens to try their golf swing

  • Wii golf

  • Golf-themed cornhole games

  • Dry Erase Coloring Wall and coloring books

  • A medical art project that incorporates medical supplies into drawing projects

  • Photo booth with golf cart

On Saturday morning, all championship attendees are invited to come for “Tea Time,” where children are invited to “swing” by the Kids Zone presented by Nemours Children’s Health for iced tea while Nemours orthopedics and sports medicine specialists will offer tips to prevent sports injury and keep young athletes healthy.  While interacting with children on a mini-putt maze, Nemours pediatric specialists will offer healthy tips to enhance athletic performance and provide top-quality, age-appropriate advice for growing bones when injuries may occur.

Stationed near the 8th green at the tournament, the Kids Zone presented by Nemours Children’s Health features a range of activities for kids of all ages.

For adults, the Kids Zone is a recharge lounge, where they can engage in activities with children on site. At THE PLAYERS Championship 2022, up to two youth, age 15 and under, are admitted free with a ticketed adult all week long.
