Jacksonville, Fla. (September 8, 2021) – Nemours Children’s Health welcomes Dr. Anna Rambo to its orthopedics practice in Jacksonville. Dr. Rambo has relocated from Memphis, where she has completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the University of Tennessee.
Trained in the preservation, investigation and restoration of the extremities, spine and associated structures by medical, surgical and physical means, Dr. Rambo will complement the Nemours specialists system-wide. This team of pediatric specialists see patients with musculoskeletal problems including congenital deformities, trauma, infections, and degenerative diseases of the spine, hip, feet, hands, and shoulders. At Nemours, she will specialize in seeing clubfoot and hip dysplasia in newborn patients.
“Dr. Rambo is a great addition to our team here at Nemours. Her training and expertise truly complement our surgical program while helping to improve access for children in Northeast Florida who need specialized orthopedic care,” said Eric Loveless, MD, Chairman of Orthopedics for Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville and pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
“I’m excited to join a team with great resources for the pediatric population of Jacksonville and the surrounding areas. Some of the early interventions we perform as pediatric orthopedists have a lifelong impact on our patients,” said Dr. Rambo. “It is a privilege to have parents entrust you with their child’s care.”
An interest in medicine came early to Dr. Rambo, whose mother is a pulmonologist in Birmingham, Ala., where Rambo grew up.
Rambo completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of South Alabama, in Mobile, Ala., after earning her medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.
Rambo and her husband, a civil engineer, are expecting their first baby at the end of the year. The family resides in St. Augustine.
