Orlando, FL (Dec. 1, 2020) – The longtime pediatrics medical group practice, My Kids’ Doctor in Kissimmee, will become part of Nemours Children’s Health System, effective December 1.
The My Kids’ Doctor in Kissimmee is moving less than a mile away to Nemours Children’s Primary Care, Kissimmee, 1001 Kevstin Drive, Kissimmee, FL 34744. The My Kids’ Doctor practice in Lake Nona, 10290 Moss Park Road, Suite 118, Orlando, FL 32832, will remain in the same building, but change its name to Nemours Children’s Primary Care, Moss Park. Patients will continue to see their doctors, and gain access to a nationally recognized nonprofit children’s health system known for delivering exceptional pediatric health care, research and education.
“Our name will be changing, but the care we deliver will remain the same,” said Dr. Nora Bolaños, who will join Nemours along with her colleague, Dr Dorianne Colón.
Dr. Bolaños has served the central Florida community for 25 years. She earned her M.D. at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, N.Y. and has been active in medical missionary trips for 25 years. “I am passionate about empowering children and working collaboratively with their families to reach their full potential,” she said. “Childhood should be a joyful and fruitful journey for our kids, and I hope to help embolden them to make healthy choices for themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually.”
Dr. Colón has been with My Kids’ Doctor since 2018, having previously served as a newborn pediatric hospitalist in Puerto Rico. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. She has research interest in newborn and infant medical care, developmental and behavioral pediatrics, and allergies and asthma in children.
By joining Nemours Children’s Health System, both practices adapt its accreditation. Nemours Children’s Primary Care is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). This team-based approach puts children at the center of care and ensures families are actively involved in decision-making.
