The 12th annual Best Children’s Hospitals rankings highlight U.S. News’s top 50 U.S. pediatric facilities in 10 surveyed specialties. Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children has been ranked among the nation’s best children’s hospitals in each year it has participated in the survey.

The rankings rely on clinical data and on an annual survey of pediatric specialists. The rankings methodology considers clinical outcomes, such as mortality and infection rates, efficiency and coordination of care delivery and compliance with "best practices.”

“It is very gratifying to see the dedication and clinical excellence of our staff and programs result in these rankings for the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children,” said Nemours President and CEO David J. Bailey, MD, MBA. “We are especially proud of the improved rankings achieved this year. Knowing that parents rely on information such as that provided by U.S. New and World Report, we are honored to participate in the survey and to offer nationally recognized care every day.”

“The U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals highlight pediatric centers that deliver state-of-the-art medical care to children with complex conditions,” said Ben Harder, Chief of Health Analysis at U.S. News. “Children with life-threatening or rare conditions need the level of quality care that these hospitals deliver day after day.”

This year’s rankings will be published in the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals 2019” guidebook available in stores late September. For more information, visit Best Children’s Hospitals for the full rankings and use #BestHospitals on Facebook and Twitter.
