WILMINGTON, DEL. (September 25, 2023) – On September 21 and 22, 2023, Nemours Children’s Health hosted its 13th annual Help Our Kids Radiothon in partnership with Beasley Media Group. MIX 99.5 WJBR shared stories of hope, courage and compassion from Nemours Children’s patients, patient families and associates during the two-day event. This year’s ambassador, Ariana, along with staff from MIX 99.5 WJBR and Nemours associates, volunteered valuable time to make this year’s Radiothon a success.
Donations were received throughout the two-day period via a live phone bank, text-2-give and Nemours’ online giving platform.
On Friday, September 22 at 6:00 p.m., Ariana and her family joined the celebration to announce the total raised, $323,278, but contributions are still being accepted online! In 13 years, the annual Nemours Children’s Health Radiothon event with WJBR has raised a total of more than $4 million.
One hundred percent of the money donated will go to programs providing social and emotional support to Nemours children and families including Child Life, Pastoral Care, and Palliative Care.

With the money raised through the Help Our Kids Radiothon, we are able to offer our patients and families free support services on top of the dedicated patient care provided in a typical clinical setting.” said Hilary Bruno, Director of Child and Family Services, Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware. “At Nemours Children’s, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of our patients and supporting whole child health for every patient.”
