WILMINGTON, DEL. (October 12, 2022) – On September 22 & 23, 2022, Nemours Children’s Health hosted its 12th annual Help Our Kids Radiothon in partnership with Beasley Media Group. For two days, MIX 99.5 WJBR, shared stories of hope, courage and compassion from Nemours Children’s patients, patient families and associates. This year’s ambassador, Noah, along with staff from MIX 99.5 WJBR and Nemours associates volunteered their valuable time to make this year’s Radiothon a success.
Donations throughout the two-day period were called in via a live phone bank, text-2-give and Nemours online giving platform.
On Friday, September 23 at 6:00pm, Noah and his family joined the celebration virtually to announce the total raised: $332,648, but contributions are still being accepted online!
One hundred percent of the money donated will go to programs providing social and emotional support to Nemours children and families including Child Life, Pastoral Care, Palliative Care and Integrative Medicine.
“At Nemours Children’s Health, we are committed to supporting each child’s whole health,” said Jennifer Sciolla, MS, CTRS, CCLS, Senior Director of Child and Family Services, Nemours Children's Health, Delaware. “All of the money raised through the Help Our Kids Radiothon supports free services offered to children and families on top of the dedicated patient care provided in a typical clinical setting. These programs allow kids to be kids while also helping to alleviate pain and stress.”
