WILMINGTON, DEL. (October 4, 2022) – Nemours Children’s Health is proud to announce three new specialty care sites opening by winter 2024 to serve the children and families of southeastern Pennsylvania. The new sites will provide the same exceptional family-centered care and offer expanded services in convenient locations throughout Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. With the addition of these new specialty care locations, Nemours Children’s will be able to care for more patients and expand its existing services.

“Nemours Children’s Health has been dedicated to serving the patients and families of southeastern Pennsylvania for more than 25 years,” said Mark Mumford, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive at Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley. “We are proud to announce these new sites as we further our commitment to providing high-quality care in the community to help create the healthiest generations of children.”

Opening October 12, 2022, Nemours Children’s Health, Abington, located in the Price Medical Building on the Jefferson Abington Hospital campus, will offer a variety of specialties including cardiology (pediatric and fetal), ECHO, EKG, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, nutrition, orthopedics, and pulmonology. Audiology and otolaryngology are planned for January 2023. Services will be relocated and expanded from the Nemours’ Willow Grove specialty care location. As Jefferson Health’s pediatric partner, this outpatient specialty care site expands upon the existing partnership and is an important complement to the Nemours’ hospital-based inpatient team at Jefferson Abington Hospital.

Slated for spring 2023, services will be relocated from Bryn Mawr and Newtown Square to Nemours Children’s Health, Broomall at Broomall Commons. Nemours Children’s will operate a more than 19,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art outpatient pediatric specialty care facility, offering diagnostic services and 14 medical and surgical specialties, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapies.

In winter 2024, Nemours will open its third planned new location in Pennsylvania, Nemours Children’s Health, Malvern. The Malvern site, located in Uptown Worthington, will be an ambulatory surgery facility and comprehensive pediatric care center offering 22 medical and surgical specialties. The location will also feature a sleep center, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapies.

“The expansion plans allow Nemours Children’s to provide a broad range of pediatric specialty services to meet the needs of even more Pennsylvania children,” said Mary Lee, MD, FAAP, Executive Vice President, Chief Science Officer and Physician in Chief of Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley. “These new locations in Abington, Broomall and Malvern will ensure coordinated care for children with acute to chronic conditions, all delivered by Nemours’ highly qualified, dedicated associates.”
