Day of Giving raises $130,000 for Nemours Children’s Health
The annual partnership with WJXT Channel 4 supports children in need of critical treatment and care
The dedication and generosity of our committed supporters is truly remarkable, and we are incredibly fortunate to have them rallying behind our shared vision of creating a better world for children," said James P. Digan, president of the Nemours Children's Health Alliance.

Jacksonville, Fla. (April 27, 2023) – Nemours Children’s Health raised more than $130,000 during its fifth annual Day of Giving in partnership with WJXT Channel 4. All funds raised will directly benefit children who otherwise may not have the resources to receive critical treatment and care.

The phones rang all day as viewers called in to make donations during the event. Nemours Children’s physicians and associates were on-hand to answer the phones along with employees from the 2023 sponsors - VyStar Credit Union, the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation and Ruckus. The outpouring of support from the local community along with the matching donations from these companies goes to the Compassionate Care Fund that provides for children who may not have the resources for treatment.

"The dedication and generosity of our committed supporters is truly remarkable, and we are incredibly fortunate to have them rallying behind our shared vision of creating a better world for children," said James P. Digan, president of the Nemours Children's Health Alliance.

Digan went on to thank the presenting sponsor VyStar Credit Union for their unwavering support, emphasizing their unparalleled commitment to improving the health and well-being of children and families in their communities. He noted that through collective efforts, such as partnerships with this year’s sponsors as well as contributions from local supporters, Nemours Children's can make a significant impact on children's health.

“Our commitment is to do good and lead by example, and there is no better way to do that than work with Nemours Children’s and partner with the Compassionate Care Fund to help the children in greater Jacksonville get the support they need,” said Chad Meadows, Executive Vice President & COO, VyStar Credit Union.
