Nemours Children's Health Presents: Keeping Your Kids Safe: Water Safety and Lifesaving Actions Webinar

WHAT:  Many children share a love of bodies of water. Whether it be pools, beaches, or lakes, it is important for parents and caretakers to understand the risks associated with submersion events and drowning as well how to prevent water-related tragedies. This is especially crucial because drowning is the leading cause of injury-related deaths among children between the ages of 1 and 4 years old in Florida. However, drowning is preventable.

A Nemours Children’s Health expert panel will discuss water safety measures for your family, different types of submersion events and drowning, and what to do if you find your child submerged or drowning. The virtual panel will offer guidance on what steps need to be taken to ensure your child is safe around water and eliminate risk for your children.

WHEN: Tuesday, August 23 at 6 p.m. EST

WHERE:  To attend, advance registration is required by visiting: Webinar (microsoft.com)
