Nemours Children’s Health Specialists to Offer Families Webinar on ‘Keeping Our Children Safe as They Return to School this Fall’
Virtual Meeting is Open to the Media

WHO / WHAT: Nemours Children’s Health specialists including Dr. Kenneth Alexander, Chief of Infectious Disease at Nemours Children’s Hospital, and Meghan Walls, pediatric psychologist, will hold a virtual event entitled “Keeping Our Children Safe as They Return to School this Fall.” The event, sponsored by Bank of America, will offer families the opportunity to ask questions about keeping children healthy as the new school year begins.  The event is intended for parents, but media members may register on this link and ask questions by emailing them to Media@Nemours.org.

Nemours Children’s Health supports the American Academy of Pediatrics updated guidance for the 2021-22 school year as well as recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

WHEN: The hourlong webinar begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 10. To attend, advance registration is required. A recording of the event will be available soon afterwards.

WHY: Parents are preparing to send children back to school, which begins August 10 in central Florida.
