Nemours Children’s Health System Honored with Engagement Excellence Award for Success in Telehealth
Organization recognized for achieving strong health outcomes through telehealth.
Nemours Children’s Health System was awarded an Engagement Excellence Award from national telehealth leader Amwell®. This award recognizes organizations who have achieved strong consumer engagement in their telehealth programs to improve health outcomes. Specifically, Nemours Children’s Health System was touted for its patient-friendly mobile experience delivered via the Nemours CareConnect app, enabling pediatric patients to receive care at their fingertips.
“Our investment in telehealth, which began in 2015, allowed Nemours to rapidly expand our capabilities to over 850 providers in response to the covid-19 pandemic, ensuring safe and accessible pediatric care for the patients and families we serve,” said Carey Officer, Operational Vice President, Center for Health Delivery Innovation, Nemours Children's Health System.
Each year Amwell® bestows awards to organizations that have made exceptional contributions to expanding digital care delivery from access to impact. All winners have demonstrated a profound commitment to making meaningful change through telehealth, even while facing unprecedented challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
Nemours Children’s Health System, using the AmWell Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK), has developed a robust, parent-friendly mobile experience designed to put the best of Nemours pediatric care at their fingertips. The Nemours app provides useful features tailored to each patient and custom tools for chronic disease management, like the one-of-a-kind asthma tracker. Parents can also use the app to access their child’s health records, view test results, have scheduled or on-demand video visits, and more.
Nemours is committed to developing tools that help parents keep their kids healthy and make quality pediatric healthcare accessible to all families.
