Every new opportunity to improve the health of children is a reason to celebrate,” said Dr. Thomas Lacy, Division Chief of Primary and Urgent Care in Florida. “This is the 18th practice in the Nemours Children’s Primary Care network, and we couldn’t be more delighted to have the opportunity to serve families who live and work in St. Cloud.

Orlando, Fla. – While its Lake Nona-based Nemours Children’s Hospital may be known for providing exceptional care for the region’s children, one of Nemours’ top priorities is to keep children healthy and out of the hospital. For that reason, the internationally recognized children’s health system continues to expand its pediatric primary care network with the goal of helping to put its young patients on the path to a lifetime of good health. The newest office in the Nemours Children’s Primary Care network opens in St. Cloud on August 12.

“Every new opportunity to improve the health of children is a reason to celebrate,” said Dr. Thomas Lacy, Division Chief of Primary and Urgent Care in Florida. “This is the 18th practice in the Nemours Children’s Primary Care network, and we couldn’t be more delighted to have the opportunity to serve families who live and work in St. Cloud.”

Dr. Tara Williams, a board-certified pediatrician, will lead a team of Nemours professionals in providing medical care to children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents. Dr. Williams joins Nemours from the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, where she served as a medical director for pediatrics. In addition to being a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Williams is a fellow of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. She has a special interest in supporting breastfeeding and was named “Most Breastfeeding Supportive Physician” by the Ohio Lactation Consultants Association.

Parents can turn to the St. Cloud practice for a wide variety of medical services, including newborn care, well-child care, immunizations and school physicals, as well as treatment for illnesses and injuries and management of chronic medical conditions. Like Nemours’ other primary care practices, Nemours Children’s Primary Care, St. Cloud is a nationally certified Patient-Centered Medical Home.
