Nemours Children's Health System Named to Most Wired List for 2016

HealthCare's Most Wired Winner 2016

Nemours Children’s Health System, anchored by the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children (N/AIDHC) and Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH), has been named to the 18th annual Hospitals and Health Networks magazine 2016 Most Wired list. This is the sixth consecutive year N/AIDHC made the list, and the fourth time NCH is being recognized since opening in October 2012.

HealthCare’s Most Wired® survey is published annually and in 2016 represented an estimated 2,146 hospitals. The 2016 survey methodology sets specific requirements in each of four focus areas, including infrastructure, business and administrative management, clinical quality and safety, and clinical integration (ambulatory/physician/patient/community).

“Being designated as a Most Wired award winner is a leading industry barometer measuring the adoption and use of information technology (IT) within hospitals and healthcare nationwide.  Our ability to consistently reach this achievement is a great validation of leveraging technology and our continuous improvement efforts to deliver patient care how and when our patient families need and want it,” remarked Bernie Rice, Enterprise Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Nemours Children’s Health System.

"Hospitals are breaking-out of their traditional four walls and providing care where and when patients need it," said Rick Pollack, president and CEO of the AHA. "These Most Wired hospitals exemplify this transformation by harnessing technology, engaging patients and offering services remotely. And, removing policy and other barriers to telehealth will allow even faster adoption of these amazing technologies."

Detailed results of the survey and study can be found in the July issue of H&HN. For a full list of winners, visit www.hhnmag.com
