WILMINGTON, Del. (November 13, 2025) – Nemours Children’s Health today announced the appointment of Harry McCloskey, PhD, as Senior Vice President, Operations for the Delaware Valley.
In this role, Dr. McCloskey will work to improve operational effectiveness, integrate new technologies to achieve efficiencies, and drive strategic planning and execution.

"His thoughtful, mission-driven leadership will further strengthen Nemours Children’s position as both a regional and national healthcare leader."
Dr. McCloskey brings years of healthcare leadership experience to Nemours Children’s, with a strong focus on strategic growth, clinical integration, and performance improvement. He spent 10 years at Jefferson Health, ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer of Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital, where he led hospital operations and an extensive network of ambulatory sites, surgical centers, and specialty practices, navigating expansion while achieving nationally recognized quality outcomes.
Dr. McCloskey previously held leadership roles at Penn Medicine, and most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
McCloskey holds dual doctorates in Complex Systems Leadership and Business Administration, along with a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor of science in Business Management. Dr. McCloskey is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and he teaches as adjunct faculty at Rowan and Thomas Jefferson Universities.
