Wilmington, Del. (Feb. 21, 2024) — Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley announced an affiliation with Crozer Health, a renowned health system committed to excellence in patient care across Delaware County. This affiliation marks a significant step forward in advancing the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and pediatric cardiology services for some of Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable patients, including newborns requiring specialized care and children with cardiac conditions.
This new affiliation will provide patients with access to Nemours’ high-quality, nationally recognized NICU services, while also embedding Nemours’ pediatric cardiology services within the Crozer Health network. Together, they will ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to pediatric healthcare. In addition, Nemours now employs former Crozer Primary Care pediatricians and welcomes Crozer patients to its network of primary care locations. Nearby patients will also continue to have access to Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware and Nemours Children’s specialty care clinics throughout the Delaware Valley.
“As a nationally recognized leader in pediatric care, we are proud to partner with Crozer Health to enhance their NICU and cardiology services. We are excited about the possibilities that this presents for the children and families of Delaware County,” said Mark R. Marcantano, Regional President, Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley. “Together, we can achieve even greater milestones in pediatric healthcare.”
The integration of Nemours specialists will optimize care delivery and foster an environment that promotes better health outcomes. The addition of Nemours’ cardiology services will strengthen diagnostic capabilities, access to care, and overall outcomes for patients with heart-related challenges throughout Delaware County.
“Nemours is a world-class organization known for its expertise in pediatric care, and this affiliation will ensure that we can continue to provide the highest quality pediatric services available,” said Anthony (Tony) Esposito, Chief Executive Officer of Crozer Health. “Both organizations have long been committed to enhancing children’s health, and we’re thrilled to partner with their team to meet the expanding needs of our community.”
Both institutions are dedicated to creating a healthier future for children and families of Delaware Valley. Nemours Children’s and Crozer Health look forward to the growth of this affiliation in the years to come.
