Gregory Ross, MD, CPPS, Named Chief Quality and Safety Officer for Nemours Children’s Health in Florida


ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2025) – Nemours Children's Health, one of the nation’s largest multistate pediatric health systems, has named Gregory Ross, MD, CPPS, Chief Quality and Safety Officer, Florida. In this role, he will oversee quality and safety across the organization’s Central and North Florida regions. He will also collaborate with his Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley, counterparts and those at partner hospital institutions in support of key quality and safety initiatives.

“Dr. Ross is a passionate clinician and brings a breadth of experience and expertise to this role,” said Daniel Podberesky, MD, Chief Medical Officer for Nemours Children’s Health, Central Florida. “His leadership will help us further enhance our quality and safety culture for the continuous delivery of high-quality care for the patients and families we serve and a safe practice environment for our associates.”

Prior to joining Nemours Children’s, Dr. Ross served as Patient and Employee Safety Officer for Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health and Co-Medical Director for Brenner Children’s Hospital. He has also served as Professor of Pediatrics and Critical Care at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health.

Dr. Ross’s medical training includes a fellowship in pediatric critical care at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center and a pediatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Dr. Ross has been actively involved with national organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Children’s Hospital Association, and Society of Critical Care Medicine to advance practices and expertise that will help drive continuous quality and safety excellence and clinical preeminence.
