PENSACOLA, Fla. (Mar. 30, 2026) – Eric Schuck, MD, FAAP, has been named Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Nemours Children's Health, Pensacola, effective Feb. 1, 2026. In this role, Dr. Schuck will lead clinical quality and safety initiatives, oversee physician practice operations, and lead collaborations with community stakeholders across Northwest Florida.

Dr. Schuck brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership and pediatric care. Prior to joining Nemours Children's, he served as Interim Chief Medical Officer for Alamance Regional Medical Center and Annie Penn Hospital, both part of Cone Health. Before that, he served as Chief Medical Officer for several HCA Healthcare North Florida Division facilities, including HCA Fort Walton-Destin/Twin Cities Hospitals, HCA Florida West Florida Hospital, and HCA Florida Ocala Hospital.

Dr. Schuck earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine as an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship recipient. He completed his pediatric residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base/Dayton Children's Hospital. In addition, he served nearly 10 years in the United States Air Force.

Dr. Schuck will also practice at Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida. In July 2025, Nemours and Studer launched a significant new collaboration to enhance pediatric care services in the region. Nemours Children’s pediatric providers now offer nearly two dozen subspecialty care services at Studer.
