ORLANDO, Fla. (March 26, 2026) – Nemours Children’s Health, Central Florida, has earned the prestigious Magnet® with Distinction Recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. The Magnet® with Distinction recognition honors hospitals that exceed ANCC’s scoring criteria required to attain Magnet® designation, making Nemours Children’s Health, Central Florida, the only hospital system in Central Florida, and just the third in the state, to achieve this honor.

The Magnet Recognition Program® is considered the gold standard in nursing excellence, teamwork and patient care delivery. In recognizing Nemours Children’s Health, Central Florida, the ANCC cited 16 exemplars, which underscore and validate that the health system meets and exceeds the highest standards of nursing required to attain Magnet status. These included areas in patient experience, clinical quality, nurse satisfaction, and the organization’s Advanced Care at Home program.
Now, Nemours Children’s Health, Central Florida, is among a distinguished community of Magnet-recognized organizations, with only approximately 10% of hospitals in the U.S. having achieved Magnet status and even fewer earning Magnet with Distinction.
