Nemours Children’s Health and Gift of Life Host Flag Raising Event for Donate Life Month
In honor of Donate Life Month, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware hosted a Gift of Life flag raising event to help increase awareness of organ, tissue and cornea donation. Nemours transplant team members, patient families, Gift of Life representatives and the Phillie Phanatic took part in the flag raising ceremony and an outdoor lunch reception.
Additionally, the nonprofit groups STARKids were in attendance. Run by transplant recipients and their families, STARKids help to bring awareness, provide support, and offer resources to current transplant families.
