Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, a nationally ranked pediatric specialty care practice, is proud to welcome Jean-Claude Desmangles, MD, to the endocrinology department in Pensacola.
With more than 25 years in the industry, Dr. Desmangles, brings to Nemours clinical expertise in areas including growth and pubertal disorders and diabetes management. He will serve as one of more than 25 specialty care physicians in the region. Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Pensacola is home to a nationally-recognized pediatric diabetes self management and education program in addition to more than 30 medical areas.

Dr. Desmangles holds a medical degree from the Université d’Etat d’Haïti in Port au Prince Haïti. He began his career at the Bronx Lebanon Center in New York where completed his residency program and became board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Upon completion, Dr. Desmangles joined the fellowship program at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in New York, where he was awarded a second certification in pediatric endocrinology. He most recently served as the head pediatric endocrinologist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in southern New York.
Dr. Desmangles has participated in a variety of research grant opportunities. Most recently, he collaborated research on the study of bone mineral density and accretion in childhood through the genome-wide association study.
