Nemours Merges Two Vero Beach Pediatrician Offices
Combined primary care practice and Nemours cardiologists open in new, larger office space on April 1.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Families in Indian River County will now have even easier access to Nemours Children’s Health System as the result of a merger of two Nemours primary care practices in Vero Beach.  Nemours Children’s Primary Care Island Pediatrics is merging with Nemours Children’s Primary Care, Vero Beach, and the combined practice will be called Nemours Children’s Primary Care, Vero Beach. On March 29, the two individual practices will close in their current locations and re-open on April 1 in a new, larger office located at 1155 35th Lane, Suite 201A in Vero Beach.  Nemours pediatric cardiologists will share the space and see patients on Fridays.

With five board certified pediatricians, Nemours Children’s Primary Care, Vero Beach will become the largest practice among the 17 offices of the Nemours Children’s Primary Care network.  The practice includes Dr. Jessica D’Elia, Dr. Laura Johnson, Dr. Genevieve Mallon, Dr. Connie Proskovec and Dr. Karen Westberry.  Services offered include newborn care, well-child care, immunizations and school physicals, as well as treatment for illnesses and injuries and management of chronic medical conditions. Like Nemours’ other primary care practices, Nemours Children’s Primary Care, Vero Beach is a certified Patient-Centered Medical Home.
